1.1.30. Transmission
Automatic transmission 4HP20
Start of the engine At each inclusion of ignition signaling devices of S and * blink three times. Inclusion of the first transfer is carried out from situation L when pressing the switch 1. To find a way out 1, press the switch 1 again or move the gear shifting handle. Programs of work The transmission provides implementation of 3 programs of work: – automatic (normal); – sports; – driving on snow. By single pressing buttons A or B the "sports" or "driving on snow" programs respectively join. The choice of the program is confirmed by the index on the dashboard. By new pressing buttons A or B there is a return to the "automatic" program. Automatic (normal) program Gear shifting happens automatically depending on a number of parameters: style of driving, road profile, loading of the car. The transmission continuously chooses that which is best of all adapted for traffic conditions from the written-down programs. Thus at moderate style of driving the program allowing to save fuel is chosen. At more bystry driving with intensive dispersals the transmission will choose more sports program with gear shifting at higher turns of the engine. Switching to the highest or lowest transfers happens on various modes depending on a road profile (horizontal, rise) and loadings of the car. Sports program The sports program allows to use sports style of driving and provides more bystry dispersals. Program of driving for snow In situation D the program of driving for snow which provides smooth driving on slippery roads for the purpose of improvement of coupling of wheels with the road and controllability joins. The car begins the movement on the second or third transfer depending on the required effort for start-off with the place, and switching to the lowest transfers happens at smaller turns of the engine. In provisions 3, 2 or L the transmission works as manual. In situation 3 start-off from the place happens on the 3rd transfer and this transfer remains included in all the time. In situation 2 or L start-off from the place happens on the second transfer and this transfer remains included. Features of work At long braking the transmission automatically is switched to the lowest transfer for more effective braking by the engine. If the accelerator pedal (for example, on the road you saw any obstacle) is sharply released, the transmission does not switch to the highest transfer. It serves increase in safety. For the purpose of reduction of emission of toxic components the special program allowing the engine to get warm quicker up to the optimum temperature is used. Switching to the lowest transfers Quickly to receive the maximum acceleration at dispersal without touching the gear shifting lever, press against the stop the accelerator pedal. The transmission will automatically switch to the lowest transfer or will choose that transfer by which the engine develops the maximum power. Prevention Any malfunctions in system are followed by a simultaneous blinking on the dashboard of indicators S and *. At the same time it is possible to feel noticeable blow at turning on of the reverse gear (it does not threaten with breakage of the transmission). If idling turns are increased, the car can start without pressing of the accelerator pedal. Do not press the accelerator pedal when switching transfer when the car stands still. At gear shifting the brake pedal has to be pressed. If the car is slowed down, do not press the accelerator pedal by the included transfer. Do not switch to the lowest transfer for braking on the slippery road. Never put the gear shifting lever in position N, R or R if the car still slides. Suspension bracket with electronic control The suspension bracket automatically and immediately adapts to various styles of driving and a profile of the road, providing the greatest comfort of passengers and stability of the car. Thus the suspension bracket the most part of time remains soft, however at the rigid nature of driving (sports driving, sharp turns, overtakings) it automatically becomes more rigid that allows the car to keep optimum stability.
Malfunction is determined by a signaling device on dashboards. It lights up approximately for 3 seconds at each inclusion of ignition. At a blinking of a signaling device malfunction of system is possible. |
