In each vortex camera the glow plug is established. Glow plugs are used at start of the cold engine. Giving of tension to glow plugs copes a timer in combination with the diesel electronic control device of system of injection (ECU).
On some models of a glow plug remain included during some period after start of the engine, i.e. after switching off of a starter of a glow plug work within 3 minutes. Work of candles of an incandescence cannot be interrupted within the first 15 seconds, but further they can be disconnected at:
– pressing of a pedal of an accelerator more than on 11 mm lasting pressing more than 2,5 seconds;
– to temperature of cooling liquid more than 60 °C.
The control lamp in a combination of devices burns during the work of candles of an incandescence. After switching off of a lamp the engine can be started. Tension to glow plugs moves within several seconds after switching off of a control lamp. If the attempt to start the engine after switching off of a lamp does not become, the timer disconnects tension from incandescence candles to avoid a discharge of the accumulator and an overheat of candles of an incandescence.
| PERFORMANCE ORDER
| 1. Connect the voltmeter between the feeding tire of candles of an incandescence and the earth. Include ignition and check that tension to candles moves in the corresponding interval of time.
| 2. At the air temperature of 20 °C time intervals of giving of tension to glow plugs have to be 5–6 seconds at which the control lamp burns, and 10 seconds after the control lamp is switched off. Time of burning of a control lamp increases at lower temperatures and decreases at temperature increase.
| 3. If tension moves to glow plugs, so the relay and an electrical wiring are serviceable.
|4. For detection of a defective glow plug remove system of pipes of an air inlet and disconnect a hose of ventilation of a case from a maslozalivny mouth. Disconnect the main feeding wire and the connecting tire from glow plugs.
|5. Using a tester (ohmmeter), check integrity of candles of an incandescence, checking resistance between contact in the top part of a candle and the candle case. Resistance of a glow plug is less than 1 Ohm; if the tester shows big resistance, the glow plug is faulty.
