13.3. Safety locks and relay

GENERAL INFORMATION

Safety locks

Arrangement of safety locks in the main box

The majority of safety locks is located in the box with fuses which is in the lower part of the dashboard from the driver. Additional safety locks are located in a box of safety locks and the relay on the left forward side of a motor compartment.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For access to the main box with fuses open an immobilizer cover, turn a clip on 90 ° and uncover the block of safety locks.
2. For access to the fuses located in a motor compartment just uncover a box of safety locks.
3. Designation of the chains protected by fuses is given on a cover of a box of safety locks, and also in the maintenance instruction.
4. When replacing a safety lock switch off the electric chain protected by it. Then take a safety lock from clips.
5. Always replace a safety lock with another of the same power. Never replace a safety lock more than once, without having defined the reason of its burn-out.

Relay

The majority of the relay are located in a box of the relay and safety locks in a motor compartment or in the lower part of the dashboard from the driver, except for the following:

 – hatch relay;
 – screen wiper relay;
 – radiator fan relay.
